The annual Nairobi International Trade Fair, a cornerstone event in Kenya’s agricultural and trade calendar, has kicked off.
The Nairobi International Trade Fair commenced on Monday, September 23, and will run through Sunday, September 29, at the Jamhuri Park Showground, located off Ngong Road.
Jamuhuri Grounds Entry Fee
This week-long extravaganza has introduced new pricing structures to accommodate various attendees:
– Standard admission: Sh300 for adults and Sh250 for children
– Special group rates (for schools and farmer groups of 10 or more): Sh250 for adults and Sh200 for children

This year’s fair has attracted an impressive array of over 500 exhibitors, both local and international, representing a wide spectrum of industries. Attendees can explore displays and innovations from sectors including:

“The Nairobi International Trade Fair continues to provide an important focal point for sharing critical knowledge in agriculture and trade by ensuring exhibitors display new and emerging innovations, as well as advanced technologies within Nairobi City County environs.”
This year’s theme, “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth,” underscores the fair’s dedication to addressing pressing environmental concerns while fostering economic development.

High-Profile Participation
The fair has already seen notable events, including a livestock auction that attracted high-level government officials. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua made headlines by purchasing two champion Boran bulls during the public auction for fat stock cattle and sheep:
- A 690 kg bull, acquired for Sh1 million
- A 580 kg bull, purchased for Sh550,000
