Occasionally, KPLC (Kenya Power and Lighting Company) customers may experience a delay in receiving their token messages or may even accidentally delete the message. 

In such cases, there are several ways to retrieve the KPLC token information.

Retrieve KPLC Token Message Via USSD *977#

The KPLC USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) platform provides a convenient way for prepaid customers to buy and retrieve their last three purchased KPLC tokens. 

To retrieve the KPLC token message via USSD, follow these steps:

1. Dial *977#

2. Select option 1, “Prepaid Services (Token)”

3. Select option 3, “Token Details”

4. Enter your KPLC account number and send

5. Your three latest transactions will be displayed with the dates

6. Select an option to receive the KPLC token message

Retrieve a KPLC token message via the MyPower app

In addition to the USSD code, you can also access KPLC services, including retrieving KPLC tokens, through the MyPower app, which is available for Android and iOS devices. 

To retrieve a KPLC token message using the MyPower app, follow these steps:

1. Download and install the MyPower app

2. Select “My Bill/ Token”

3. Enter your meter number

4. Your latest transactions will be displayed

How to Retrieve KPLC Token Message Online

The KPLC self-service online portal is another free option for retrieving KPLC token messages, as long as you have internet access. This portal allows you to check your KPLC token history and much more. 

To retrieve a KPLC token message online, follow these steps:

1. Open the KPLC self-service portal from your preferred browser. Click here

2. Click on “Bill/Meter Query”

3. Enter your KPLC account number and click search

4. Your latest transactions will be displayed

Unfortunately, MPesa does not offer a direct way to retrieve your KPLC token message. The only options for retrieving your KPLC token are the KPLC USSD code, the KPLC self-service portal, and the MyPower app.
