TSC to Recruit 8,000+ Teachers on Permanent Contract: Here’s How to Apply

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has initiated a comprehensive recruitment drive aimed at filling 8,707 teaching positions across Kenya’s public education system.

This employment opportunity spans primary, junior, and secondary schools, offering permanent and pensionable terms of service to successful candidates.

The recruitment drive includes:

  • 5,862 positions in primary schools
  • 21 positions in junior schools
  • 2,824 positions in secondary schools

Prospective applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Hold appropriate educational qualifications:
  • Primary schools: P1 certificate
  • Junior and secondary schools: Diploma in Education
  • Be registered in the TSC directory

  • 44 chief principals for regular schools
  • 3 chief principals for TTCs

  • 652 deputy principals (group I) for TTCs
  • 3 deputy principals (group II) for secondary schools
  • 786 senior lecturers (group I) for TTCs
