TSC Opens Applications for 5,690 School Leadership Positions

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has launched a recruitment drive for 5,690 leadership positions in primary and secondary schools nationwide, with applications due within one week. This announcement comes a month after TSC announced a massive recruitment of 46,000 lower level teachers.

The announcement details 755 openings for post-primary school principals. Candidates must have experience in deputy principal or senior master roles.

The commission is also seeking 816 deputy principals. These positions require prior experience as Senior Masters.

The recruitment aligns with the Career Progression Guidelines, which outline advancement opportunities for experienced educators.

For primary schools, 1,208 headteacher positions are available. Eligible candidates must have three years of experience as Deputy Head Teacher II TSC Scale 9.

Additionally, 2,911 deputy headteacher positions will be filled across primary schools. These roles require three years of experience as Senior Teacher I T-Scale 8.

Applications must be submitted through the TSC online portal before midnight on Monday, November 18.

3. Click on the drop down menu on the career section.

4. Select “Teachers” then “Active promotions.”

A tab with all the applied positions open. Proceed to apply for the position you qualify.
