KNEC Releases KJSEA Sample Papers for Junior Secondary Schools

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has taken a significant step in educational preparation by releasing Kenya Junior Education Assessment (KJSEA) sample papers for all junior secondary schools as of Saturday, January 4, 2025.

These materials are designed to help students familiarize themselves with the assessment format and prepare effectively for their upcoming evaluations.

The papers are now available through their dedicated online platform at cba.knec.ac.ke.

The released sample papers encompass the full range of junior secondary curriculum subjects, including:

  • Kiswahili
  • Mathematics
  • Pre-technical Studies
  • Integrated Science
  • Other curriculum subjects

Schools can access these resources through the following process:

  1. Portal Access
    Visit cba.knec.ac.ke or search for “CBA portal”
  2. Authentication
    Use your institution’s assessment centre credentials to log in
  3. Grade Selection
    Navigate to the Grade 8 portal section
  4. Resource Location
    Click on “Instructions & Sample Papers”
  5. Paper Selection
    Browse and select specific papers from the complete listing
  6. Viewing and Download
    Use the “View” button to examine papers online or “Download” for offline access

KNEC emphasizes the importance of maintaining credential security and advises schools to log out after accessing the materials to protect the integrity of the assessment system.
