The activist outlined plans for an extensive recruitment drive targeting both educated and uneducated youth across the country. His role will specifically focus on spearheading youth registration initiatives, demonstrating ODM’s commitment to diversifying its membership base.
“We’re revitalising the Youth and Students’ Leagues and are calling on passionate young Kenyans to help shape our future. Stand with us! Thank you, party chair @gladyswanga, for your faith and hosting us this weekend,” McOure declared.
Governor Gladys Wanga expressed strong support for McOure’s inclusion, highlighting the party’s forward-thinking approach.
“ODM is the party of the future and the future of ODM is in the hands of our young people. Our Gen Z, and Gen Alphas, the ones who are coming up and that’s why we want strong involvement of brilliant young people like (Kasmuel) Mcoure,” she emphasized
Background and Recent Political Activities
McOure’s decision to join ODM follows a recent high-profile meeting with former Prime Minister and ODM founding party leader, Raila Odinga. This strategic move gains particular significance given McOure’s prominent role in recent political activism, especially his leadership in the Gen Z protests against the controversial Finance Bill, 2024.
