Other Criminal Activities The Robbers were Involved In
Subsequent investigations revealed the suspects’ involvement in multiple criminal activities, including car break-ins and theft. Police uncovered a prior robbery report from Bensquare Police Post on November 23, 2024, where the duo broke into a locked car and stole Ksh500,000.
The suspects are currently in police custody and await formal charges. This arrest follows a similar DCI operation two months earlier targeting a car parts theft syndicate in Kajiado County. That syndicate was known for conducting raids during rainy weather, with one incident captured on CCTV showing gang members stripping a vehicle of valuable parts.
Investigators recovered various stolen spare parts, including number plates, side mirrors, and headlights. Another comparable incident occurred in October, when two thieves were caught attempting to steal Ksh500,000 from a car in a business complex in Kitale.
