These are that strategies and techniques that can allow one enjoy the bowling experience better or even help you win in the case of organized tournaments that most of these bowling places in Nairobi organize:

1. Aim your bowling ball down the lane – Choose a bowling ball that fits comfortably in your hand and stand at the start of your lane, facing the pins. Hold the ball at chest height, with your dominant hand underneath.

Take a few steps forward, swinging the ball back and then forward and release the ball smoothly onto the lane as you complete your forward swing. Try to keep the ball in the center of the lane for best results

2. Try to knock down as many pins as possible – There are 10 pins arranged in a triangle at the end of the lane. Your goal is to hit these pins with your bowling ball.

Even if you don’t hit all the pins, try to knock down as many as you can. You get two chances (called “rolls” or “throws”) to knock down all the pins in each turn (called a “frame”)

3. The more pins you knock down, the higher your score – Each pin knocked down is worth one point. If you knock down all 10 pins in your two rolls, it’s called a “spare”. Spares are worth 10 points plus the number of pins you knock down in your next roll. Keep track of your score on the overhead screen or scoresheet

4. Aim for a strike by knocking down all pins in one throw – A “strike” is when you knock down all 10 pins with your first roll in a frame. Strikes are worth 10 points plus the number of pins you knock down in your next two rolls. Strikes are the fastest way to increase your score. Don’t worry if you don’t get strikes right away – they take practice!
