Eligibility Criteria
The scheme specifically targets students enrolled in KASNEB-accredited institutions and covers both educational expenses and examination costs. The following professional courses are eligible for funding:
- Certified Public Accountants (CPA)
- Certified Secretaries (CS)
- Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (CIFA)
- Certified Credit Professionals (CCP)
- Accounting Technicians Diploma (ATD)
- Certificate in Accounting and Management Skills (CAMS)
Financial Terms and Conditions
The loan package comes with several notable features:
- Interest rate: 6% per annum
- Grace period: 3 years post-completion of studies
- Maximum repayment duration: 60 months (5 years)
- Administrative fee: Ksh 500 (charged during disbursement)
Covered Expenses
The scheme provides comprehensive coverage for:

- Examination registration fees
- Renewal fees
- Exemption fees

To apply for the KASNEB Foundation Loan and Bursary, candidates should follow these steps:

Visit the HELB website (www.helb.co.ke) and access the HELB Students’ Portal to create and activate an account. Important: Use your personal mobile number for registration.

- Log into your account
- Navigate to the ‘Application’ tab on the left dashboard
- Choose between two options:
- KASNEB Foundation Loan and Bursary Application – Tuition fees only
- KASNEB Foundation Loan and Bursary Application – KASNEB fees only
Step 3: Documentation
- Review and accept the Consent for the Collection and Processing of Personal Data
- Complete the online loan application form with required details
