The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has addressed the complaints about difficulties in accessing the 2024 KCSE examination results through their online portal.
In a Twitter statement, KNEC explained that the delays are due to unprecedented traffic on their servers, with the system handling up to 300,000 requests every second.
“The minor delays in receiving feedback is due to the high number of requests being sent to the portal, of up to 300,000 hits per second.”

KNEC Urges Kenyans To be Patient
The examination body acknowledged the technical challenges but maintained that these are temporary challenges caused by the massive surge in simultaneous access attempts rather than system failure. KNEC has urged Kenyans to exercise patience, assuring that every candidate will eventually be able to access their results once the traffic stabilizes.
